Sit back and relax as you take in the scenery as you make your way through coffee country over the continental divide and down the Caribbean slope to the Arenal Volcano. La Fortuna Highlights Tour – Hanging Bridges, Waterfall + Local Lunch:

Join your naturalist guide on an adventure to visit some of the highlights that this area is famous for. Our day starts with a guided walk via the hanging bridges while seeing what life is like up in the canopy by taking in the sights and sounds of the rainforest. Your next stop will be a visit to the impressive La Fortuna waterfall. Dropping 70 meters into a bright blue pool.After your hike out of the waterfall canyon we head to lunch. Enjoy a locally prepared Costa Rican lunch.

You have the day at leasure, choose from one of the many adventures at the base of the Arenal Volcano. Raft the tropical waters of the Class 2/3 Balsa River, Waterfall Rappel down a rainforest canyon or take a wildlife boat trip to the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge.

In the evening relax as with a visit to the natural volcanic hot springs of the Arenal Volcano. Enjoy a great local dinner at the hot springs.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Today you leave the tropical rain forest and head into another climate zone in the fresh mountain air of the Monteverde Cloud Forest. A van picks you up and brings you to the Arenal Lake, where you board a boat and drive with fantastic views of the Arenal Volcano towards Monteverde.

On the other side of the lake another van will take you to your hotel in Monteverde. This area was developed by Quakers who wanted to lead a peaceful life. They stayed in Monteverde, where they made cheese and ice cream that is now very popular throughout Costa Rica. You will find a species-rich animal life in the heart of the cloud forest overlooking the Nicoya Peninsula, along the continental divide.

Cloud Forest Combo:
Experience the cloud forest with an adventure of your choice. Choose between an adventurous Canopy Zip Line adventure or a cloud forest walk over the Hanging Bridges. Your visit also includes a walk through the largest butterfly garden and a visit to the Selvatura Sloth Sanctuary.

After breakfast at the hotel your shuttle transfer will take you from your Monteverde Area Hotel to Guanacaste. After checking in at your hotel you will have the afternoon to relax by the pool or enjoy the spectacular Guanacaste sunset.
